Data collected
For sellers: email address (login), shop information (name, description, social media usernames, WhatsApp number, payment link) and published content. For visitors: technical cookies necessary for the service to function and anonymous, cookieless audience measurement (see below). The advertising tracking described below is optional and subject to your consent.
Purpose
To operate the service: display the public shop and allow the seller to manage it. With your consent, to inform you of our offers and news by email and to measure our advertising campaigns. We do not sell your data.
Two independent choices: marketing emails and Meta cookies
The optional box, unchecked by default at sign-up, concerns only marketing communications and Makolek news by email. You can change this choice in “My account”, under “Marketing emails”. No marketing message is permitted without this consent and a confirmed email address.
The cookie banner separately offers the option to accept or refuse Meta advertising cookies and trackers (Pixel 1104586909172294). The Pixel does not load before your consent. Refusing either one does not prevent you from creating or using your account.
Once advertising cookies are accepted, the Pixel sends Meta technical information about your browser and your browsing and may report the confirmation of your registration. This is used to measure Meta Ads campaigns and personalize ads. No email, name, amount or account identifier is added by Makolek to the parameters of these events. The Pixel is not loaded on shop subdomains, authentication routes or the reset page.
Your cookie choice is stored in this browser for up to six months, including when you refuse. For identified users, we also record the choices separately in Supabase, with their dates, texts, versions and withdrawals. Before identification, the cookie choice remains stored in the browser. Past choices are retained.
The “Manage my cookies” link lets you change your choice in this browser at any time. Refusing stops new Meta events without disabling your marketing emails. It does not delete events already received by Meta. Another browser collects its own choice: logging in does not automatically reactivate the Pixel.
Meta processes this data in accordance with its privacy policy, which describes in particular international transfers and the ways to manage your advertising preferences.
Catalog audience measurement
To provide statistics to Makolek and to sellers, we anonymously count catalog visits, products viewed and clicks on contact options. No cookie is placed on the visitor’s device and their IP address is not stored: an anonymous identifier, recalculated each day from the IP address and the browser, is used only to avoid counting the same visit twice in one day. Only the source (for example Instagram or WhatsApp) and the device type (phone or computer) are recorded. This data is used solely to produce statistics and is kept for no more than 25 months. To avoid counting their own visits, a logged-in seller receives a technical cookie (makolek_owner, 90 days) that contains only the identifiers of their shops.
Hosting
Makolek also uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure visits and pages viewed as aggregated statistics, without third-party cookies. Events may include the device type, browser, source and approximate location. We remove parameters and fragments from transmitted URLs and exclude authentication confirmation and password reset pages. No name, email or account identifier is added to events by Makolek. The service uses Supabase for accounts, the database and files, and Vercel for the application and its delivery. Hosting of the application is not limited to the European Union. Some processing by our providers and by Meta may take place outside the European Economic Area. For information about the recipients and the applicable safeguards, contact contact@makolek.com.
Your rights
You may request access to, rectification or erasure of your data, as well as its portability or the restriction of processing, or exercise your right to object, where these rights apply. You may withdraw your marketing consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal. Deletion of the account and its catalogs is available from “My account”. To exercise your rights, write to contact@makolek.com. Makolek generally responds within one month; if a legal extension is necessary, you will be informed. You may also file a complaint with the CNIL.
