Before you start.

Is it really free?

Yes. Makolek is free: no subscription or credit card to create your catalogue. Makolek takes no commission on sales you complete outside the platform.

I already use Instagram or WhatsApp. Why add this?

Makolek gives you a personalised web page where customers can browse your products and details, with your choice of contact methods. Share it on your social accounts. WhatsApp Business also has a catalogue: if it meets your needs, you may not need Makolek.

How do customers order?

They browse your catalogue and use one of your contact methods. You agree on the purchase, payment and delivery or collection together. No orders or payments are recorded on Makolek.

How is it different from Shopify?

Shopify is built for a full e-commerce store, with a cart, checkout and order management. Makolek gets you to the essentials faster: add your photos and descriptions, choose your style, then share a beautiful catalogue. Customers discover your products and contact you directly. If you don't need to take payments online, Makolek is simpler and quicker to get started with.

Does Makolek bring me customers?

Makolek helps you showcase and share products. It is not a marketplace that automatically brings an audience: you promote your catalogue through social media, messages or your QR code.

Do I need a computer or an app?

Create and manage your catalogue in your phone or computer browser. Customers can browse without installing an app or creating a Makolek account.

Do I have to show prices?

No. Display a price, show “Price on request”, or leave it blank. You choose the information for each product.
